With the recent craze of Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR‘ Keem’s Minecraft Monday sweeping YouTube, the platform’s biggest star PewDiePie has been making his own videos on the game whilst also reflecting about his history.
While this isn’t the first time the Swedish YouTuber has opened up about his past, his latest exchange with his fans revealed details that had not been heard before.

PewDiePie’s beginnings…
“A lot of people seem to think my first video was a Minecraft video. Basically my first video technically that is on my channel is a Minecraft video, but it wasn’t my first video that I uploaded,” PewDiePie said.
The YouTube star had uploaded other videos before his Minecraft video, but decided to remove them due to being too “cringey.”

Showing humility, the YouTube star told his audience that he doesn’t really care about people seeing his older videos anymore – despite them being cringeworthy – and even suggested that he could upload them back to his channel someday.
He also commented that other YouTubers worry about their entire catalog being perfect, but that there is nothing wrong with messing up by making terrible videos when first starting out.

PewDiePie also revealed that he actually lost the first Minecraft video he ever recorded. Amusingly, he told fans that he uploaded it to a website hoping that they would post it, but they never did so sadly, there’s next-to-no hopes of it cropping up online any time soon.

Reflecting further on his beginnings, the YouTuber also described the awkwardness he found when recording himself playing games. “Who am I talking to? I have no audience. Am I supposed to talk to people like there is [someone there]?”
However, his biggest reveal of all was when he admitted that he actually applied to work for Mojang when he was younger after he fell in love with Minecraft. “Mojang, if you leak my email I will kill you”, he laughed.
